Comprehensive Wellness Exams
A thorough physical of your horse, including multiple body systems. This includes eyes, ears, heart and lungs, abdomen, skin, mouth/teeth, conformation, hoof care, reproductive organs, etc.
Vaccinations
- With as many vaccine options available as there are, the options can get a bit confusing. We are here to help streamline this process and create a vaccine protocol that fits your horses’ needs as well as your budget.
- Most of our vaccines come with a guarantee, meaning that if your horse gets sick with one of the diseases it was vaccinated against, the drug company will reimburse the horse owner for diagnostic and treatment costs. This is only available for vaccines given by a Veterinarian, as we have higher standards of quality control than you might find at a feed store where the same vaccines can be purchased.
Pre-Purchase Examinations
These in depth examinations include a lameness portion, and radiographs at the buyer’s discretion for an additional charge.
Blood work
- We now have in house bloodwork! We are able to run a CBC, Chemistry, and Fibrinogen on your horse, as well as a blood gas and Serum Amyloid A.
- Any other bloodwork is sent to an outside lab and results are obtained in 2-10 days, depending on the test.
Farrier Consultations
We love working with farriers to develop a shoeing and trimming plan that best fits the needs of your horse. Feel free to arrange an appointment with both us and the farrier so that we can collaborate and serve you best.
Nutrition Consultations
Every life stage and activity level has different nutritional requirements. We are here to help you tailor your horse’s diet for it’s specific needs including supplement recommendations.
Senior Horse Care
Senior horses make up a large population of our practice. This life stage can be challenging for some horses, and we are here to help your senior horse live it’s best, most comfortable life. Some senior horses require additional blood work, dental examinations, and lameness evaluations as they age. We can help ease this process and support them in their golden years.
